Let's face it. Bill Clinton and Alan Greenspan were both put in power by Wall Steeet and the financial community. The quid pro quo seems to have been that they both would follow policies that pushed the bubble as far as possible until the inflationary consequences became too obvious to ignore.

The have served their masters well. Long run consequences to the economy and the financial markets be damned. The boys have gotten rich beyond their wildest dreams. Actually I should say richer beyond their wildest dreams since they were not exactly paupers to begin with.

Funny that the best friend Wall Street speculators and manipulators ever had in the White House turns out to be a Democrat.
