Oh, you want to talk about embargo? And lack of freedom in other countries? I thought we were talking about Cuba?

As far as the embargo is concerned I agree with you. It should have been lifted a long time ago. As far as lack of freedom goes in Saudia Arabia, I agree and we should look for ways to influence them toward a free democracy too.

I don't believe the Saudia government murders its citizens for wanting to travel abroad though.

But why not stick to Cuba? Are you uncomfortable discusssing what the Cuban government would do if someone started a website devoted to criticizing Castro?

More importantly, why don't we compare and contrast Cuba with America since that's what lies at the heart of the Elian Gonzales case. Do Americans shoot people who want to travel abroad, or launch an internet site which criticizes Bill Clinton? Of course not. Heck, you can even own a television and radio station devoted to the practice if you have the will, desire and capital.

Do you think you could own a radio station, television or newspaper in Cuba criticizing Fidel's wonderful island paradise? Of course not. Ever wonder why? Could it possibly be because the light of truth would cause Fidel to lose his murderous grip on power?

The ocean is like a Berlin Wall to the people of Cuba.

Imagine actually murdering women and children for wanting to travel off an island? Can you visualize what kind of monster would do that? Can you visualize what kind fear a person would have to instill in their people to get them to carry out such a policy of genocide?

How many bodies do you think lay off the coast of Cuba killed by Castro for wanting to travel abroad? It's evil and reprehensible.
