Everyone is free to choose- it's the CONSEQUENCES that stop people. If (as a Cuban) you exercise your freedom to choose to overthrow the Cuban government (and you don't win) you'll be killed. Actually, I think you can be killed here in the US for trying to overthrow the government. So even though we ALL can choose to overthrow the government the real question is- Do we want to bear the cost of our choice?

And what exactly is your point about the Shah? A majority of the people of Iran overthrew our puppet and put in a religious dictator instead. So what? Sometimes the "people" want a dictator. And if that's what they want (imo) they have every right to impose such a thing on themselves.
