But netmeeting will do it for free, and Net2Phone will eventually be crushed. Where is the profit margin in "free" ? 99% of the worlds email is handled be the unix sendmail program, which is free. Net2Phone makes money on the calls that have to be routed to an actual phone number, but makes nothing on internet telephony calls. When everything switches to telephony and we all have phones plugged into our computers, and data transmission costs approach zero, not only is AT&T screwed but so is Net2phone.

I trust you. My wife has a lot of out-of-town relatives, and they all use internet video-phone. Also a lot of the Indian engineers at work use internet telephony to talk with their relatives in India and avoid international per-minute charges.
