Bernard: Why and how a better business model and a stronger management? Is Ackerson really better than Rouhana/Kantor in their execution? McCaw has the reputation but what is his day to day involvement in the execution? Does Nextlink really have more to offer the customer than WCII? I know that Winstar management doesn't think so!

Reputation is a funny thing, sometimes unwarranted. Teligent was always given a lot of credit for having Mandl. Executives I know from AT&T and other telecom companies have maintained for a while that he is an empty suit. The market is finally beginning to recognize this now. It took a while.

I think it is unfortunate that the investment community can't distinguish between those companies with sufficient funding and those that may need it before the junk market revives.

Bernard: I am interested in your opinion as to whether this selloff in BBFW players is likely to result in some takeover attempts on these companies. Is BBFW yet a strategic imperative for some of the big telecoms?
