Here is another interesting article backing up my assertion that Elians father truly would stay if given a reasonable opportunity by those in power. I don't think that we know he won't be staying. I don't see any reason why he couldn't stay if he considered the trade-offs worth it. If he's planning to stay here, or to go somewhere other than Cuba, he'd have to be playing it close to his vest and we wouldn't know. I wouldn't give up on this one until we see him on a plane for Cuba. Karen

Dear Michael, What I am about to post is not meant for ALL CUBANS. Most are very proud of America but are afraid to speak their mind against what is happening here in South Florida. You just don't understand how these CUBANS living in Little Havana are led by tow CUBANS who are not even American Citizens, Basulto and Sanchez. They teach HATE and DICTATE what we are suppose to believe. There is NO FREEDOM of SPEECH in South Florida. Most of the CUBANS in South Florida don't speak a word of English and are also NON Citizens of this great country. Elian was being taught to HATE Castro and Cuba instead of to LOVE rhis Country. That is what goes on in the private Cuban schools in Miami. They have so much hatred they can't see the truth and they will LIE under oath if it will help their cause.
