I know what you mean. Another reason I've been in no rush to upgrade the 233MMX and Pro 200 CPUs. Hurry up and wait? I can't even get high speed Sympatico here yet, but soon I hope. In the mean time I have found a way to overclock my aging beasts to squeeze some more time out of their life. When I get the larger CPU heat sinks and fans I'll pump them up. This minor cost I can justify.

My guess is you are some kind of computer professional because they are typically the type to stay generations behind in upgrades. Hats off!

IMO, I/O is a great thing to spend money on, eg., RW backup, scanner, multimonitor, mouse, keyboard, video capture/TV tuner, etc...
