And how much of it do they have? Do they really have "LOTS"? Please post to me EXACTLY what their proven reserves are and then we will talk about it. Until then I'd rather laugh at you. It's to bad you don't have a brain *to* plug in.

Even Average Joe, who espouses the theory that Cuba-is-just-a-Spanish-speaking-Saudia-Arabia, doesn't argue that Cuba could be a major oil producer. He compares proven and probable reserves to Turkey or Ecuador, both not major oil countries.

The whole point was and is: we don't need Cuba for its possible oil reserves. We do need Saudi Arabia and other terrible places, so we lavish funds on them, despite one horrific report after another from groups like Amnesty International.

If Cuba was producing 8 million bbl. a day like Saudi Arabia, we'd be kow-towing to Castro.

I actually think we'd do better dealing with Castro than being at the mercy of places like Saudi Arabia.
