I know, that MSFT was pretty sure that Windows 95 would be a success, because of the way the market was, but Windows 95 was a product, that most people really wanted to get on their desktop. For most people, Windows 98 and Windows 2000 is just a newer Windows 95, whereas Windows 95 is not just a newer Windows 3.x. And most of the OS/2 techs I knew at that time changed to Windows 95 when it came out, not later when apps weren't running on OS/2 any more.
