To my friends, I'd like to wish you all a wonderful Holiday from Holly and me. We all have so very much to be thankful for.

Ya know, sometimes life whacks us up the side of the head. I call those times a "realty check". Sometimes we deserve it. In the past, at times when I've thought I had the world by the tail, making tons of money, thinking I was the greatest investor, look at me... look at me, I got greedy. etc., well, that is when you get a dose of realty in life and humbled real quick. Talk about a hard landing on earth again. Whew....

What I have learned is ya can't quit. You have to start over, buckle down, work harder, and climb back, little by little. Done that many times myself and each time I came back smarter, having learned from the experience and of course a lot more humble.

When I rebounded, I did so with conviction. I said to myself, Rick, you will not fail. You shall prevail. And I did. It took time, but I did rebound, ever so little at a time. Guess that is why I often say on here... be aggressive, be smart, have patience, and execute.

There are a lot of success stories on the Porch. There will be more as we go forward. Unfortunately, right now, though, many on here are suffering big losses. Those probably have a lot of self-doubt. That is something each person must resolve in their own way, but you must try to do so, otherwise, you won't move forward.

Anyway, our family wishes everyone on the Porch and the lurkers, too, a wonderful Holiday. Let's not forget the veterans, our heroes, who fought to preserve what we have this very day. They had much more to worry about than what we do today. This market stuff is nothing like they faced in war.

We have so much to be thankful for in the grand scheme of things.

Rick
