Scumbria,

There is nothing to make SV housing prices go down. The job market is hot, and there is a severe housing shortage.

I did not say it was happening today; however things are in place for it to happen soon. The median for S.J. is $557 k; the average median for the country is approximately $150 k. Nothing more needs to be said.

It would require an earthquake or some unnatural disaster like the Fed to cause a drop in housing prices.

Maybe or it could be a significant and unexpected change in technology (like the main frame vs the PC), or it could be a particularly difficult recession or simply the reaching of a general consensus that its not worth doing business in the SV anymore.....the cons outweigh the pros.
