I'm quitting golf

I guess sand wedge was too much for you, huh.

Cuf I played my doubles match play today and almost passed out.It was 105 degrees with 90% humidity.I shanked a few shots but was very controlled and quite. My partner kept wondering what was going on.No more breaking clubs as I can't afford to buy new ones any more given our recent drumming.I guess next is buying those lake balls that the club sells.

I am going to England on june 7th and Michigan after that for about 10 days. You can expect bullmarket rally, since it has done so the last two times I have gone away.

I am not quitting golf or the market, just not very good at either one now a days.

Have been thinking about selling the ELON shares and taking the loss and putting the money into qcom. They are almost trading at par with each other give and take 10 points.

I have a theory on gmst that good thing are coming soon and the market knows that or it would be about 10 bucks a share, having delayed the earnings release.

Have a Good Memorial day,

Sham

OT Buck I hope you won't be upset after the Devils beat the hell out of the Stars in 7.hehehehehe

cuf,

<< I played golf today with a dear friend >>

I played yesterday with a Northeast legend, Joe Aneda.

Joe is our 2nd assistant Golf Pro. He retired as head pro long before I joined here 14 years ago, after 30 years tenure.

He broke his age as usual, shooting 84. Joe is 90.

Joe works at the club every day after taking a swim at the Y, still runs junior golf, and concludes every day with 2 man sized martini's served "up & down" in the upstair's lounge.

On the wall in the clubhouse is a large framed black and white photo of Joe following through off the tee. The swing looks like Slamming Sammy's but Joe was a heck of a lot handsomer than Sam Snead. I will have a print of that photo one of these days.

I shot 4 strokes better than my handicap. No advice from Joe, he's just a great steadying influence to play with.

<< I'm quitting golf but not investing >>

Neither one of us are quitting either.

cuf, I used to think I was a good investor and a lousy golfer. I find that I was half right.
