offer to extend the exercise period of the Company's common stock purchase warrants to December 22, 2000

I guess that answers the question 'can they do that?'. Given that they apparently can, then SRCM really had no choice but to do so. Now what in the world are they going to do to get their share price back up to those levels? Hope and pray LBRT gets back over $100?

Also, does anyone know, can SRCM just keep extending the deadline indefinitely as long as the warrantholders say 'sure, why not, maybe something good will happen'? Or is there some sort of limit to it? Otherwise, why would they just extend six months and not several years?

the Company may exercise its right to redeem the warrants if the closing price of its common stock is $13.00 per share for more than ten consecutive trading days

I guess you could call that 'lowered expectations'.
