Jim, bob brinker, who went to cash this january and is still long term bearish, issued a trading buy on the qqqs this weekend with target in the 90s. again if this occurs, it is short term counterally in longer term downtrend. the basis for his prediction was divergence during the lows.

Jim and Gary, based on the extent of the Naz short position and on the economic reports that came in last week, I'm voting for a short term rally.

The Naz short position is 2.8 billion shares as of May 15th. The stocks with the largest short positions include Dell, Cisco, Oracle and Microsoft.

Last weeks report's indicated some economic slowdown. Enough slowdown to fuel a short term rally.
