Thanx Herm; My MO dividend play is in my IRA I can't do
spreads ( naked options in it ).

Now about MO I've been watching her for a while and with
no news to the effect my best guess is they are priming
her price to the upside "before" she makes a bid on
Nabisco.
When taht bid does become news she could drop some and
so if I were playing raw options I'd factor in a strong
possibility that she will make the play for Nabisco but
just when I won't try to guess as of yet.

Herm; Well I was surprised , my Leaps on MO got called right
on the EX date..I missed the dividend but collected the
premium early, next time I write deep in the money leaps
I'll go out as far as I can..( I had 2001 next will be
2002 ) .
The main thing to me is to leg in ( be sure the stock is moving UP before you buy it ) then sell the leaps.
----------
Even though they called them early I made out Ok but I would
have preferred to have them ride till expiration.
