Maybe AMD can get Intel to rush Willy to market, and screw up again?

Intel can release Willamette whenever they want to. Didn't Kumar say that? The only problem is that Intel would have to tighten the specifications for the Willamette CPU. Only the CpuId utility would be certified to run on the processor, and the computer would have to be turned off after 5 minutes.

Eventhough you were making this remark just for fun, it has great merit.

Actually, I agree with Chuck's comment that there is no need for AMD to push speed grades beyond 1.2GH at this time except for the point you made. A release of 1.5GHz thunderbirds can create chaos at Intel. It would have grave implications on majority of the projects if not every project that Intel has been working on.
