Re: "Perhaps you're right...whatever the case, it's sure good to see this board lose some of the negativity acquired in recent days. Everyone looks so much better with a glimmer of brightness in their eye (and their messages).

The truth is out there..."

Comment: I'm with you on that one...No need for AMD negativity...Some article comparing benchmarks of a virtually non-existant PweeIII 1000 with on-die cache and the abundantly available Athy 1000 without on-die cache sends AMD price in a tailspin...not unlike the PWeeIII 700 MHz promises back in October that tried to cap AMD at $20...

Well T-Day is about to arrive and with it the coronation once and for all of the new king of the microprocessor marketplace...

AMD has executed flawlessly for the past 12 months...Why would anyone think that such flawless execution can't continue for the next 12 months and beyond...Absolutely nothing on my radar screen, other than an unending stream of INTC vacuuous promises since October '99, to cloud the AMD's future for the foreseeable future...

(My AMD optimism should not be confused with being in love with a stock...although I really do like AMD). No doubt market risk is a significant factor at this, or any given time for that matter, but it is precisely market risk, imho, that explains why AMD is not currently trading at $150 or better...AMD is now poised for its next significant upleg taking it to levels north of $100!
