Hokay, here's a theory we haven't heard before. Maybe Anthony just got a little too creative but did actually do the right thing with no intention of misleading anyone or doing something with the money that wasn't intended by the donor. Just a thought ... Anthony did go through great discomfort to help the refugees and I think we should not assume he intended to con everybody for $14K or whatever it was supposed to be. I agree this is a possibility, that's why I have continuously asked Tony to show some proof of what he did with the money and clear his name... 1. If this is the case, why won't Tony just say so - instead he made aggressive personal attacks and threats? 2. Why does he instead show a really bogus smelling receipt from Mother Thereza suggesting he gave out $40ishK in Macedonia? 3. Why does he go to the trouble to show the $40k bogus smelling receipt - but when the receipt validity is shown to be questionable REFUSE TO PROVIDE BANK RECORD BACKUP SHOWING HE WITHDREW $40k CASH PRIOR TO OR DURING THE TRIP...??? 4. And Refuse to show bank records showing the amount of travelers checks he purchased prior to or during the trip? Why did Tony suddenly become shy about making himself look like a hero - he's NEVER EVER been shy about promoting himself since I've known him, just the opposite? These questions and his refusal to answer them have a stench of dead fish... I do believe Tony helped the Hoti family get to the US and get setup here, and I commend him for that. I also believe Tony had true passion about trying to help refugees. But why won't he show just how much he really financially helped them? Or show what the source of donations was, like his collected donations or outside donation help - ie Red Cross or any other organizations? Was any of his assistance loans as opposed to donations? Tony's long record of doing the wrong thing with other peoples money make all these questions reasonable IMO. We need to know where the donated money and his "matching" donations really got spent, and there may be law that requires him to do this... I suspect Tony ignoring this subject will not make it go away.
