It was more than that at times, more like a commando raid that didn't care if it took out bystanders as well.

I resemble that remark. Is there anything on earth that anyone could have done that would have made the people in question behave any differently? Had we rolled out the red carpet and peeled them grapes, would they not have tromped fecal material into the Oriental rugs and wiped their snotty runny noses on the silk brocade curtains, as they have always done no matter where they go? It's in their nature, not ours.
