Hmmm...the Star Kite.....

Well, it's just a kite... but it's the most devilish one that I have... multi-coloured... has lots of little wooden sticks holding it into shape... very 3-D....

It doesn't fly like a normal kite... it does things like dance around... kind of going BOINK-BOINK-BOINK through the air... as if the air had invisible walls that the points of the kite bounce off of...

Gee... I don't think I'm doing a very good job of explaining this...

Perhaps this is one of those inexplicable things... I think it might be....

Think you'd have to see it... or better still... try to fly it yourself...

But you need a good stiff wind to fly the Star Kite because it's kind of heavy...

But I love it... especially when I take it out in the middle of winter.... on a cold, clear day... and fly it over the snowy fields... and it's the most colourful thing in sight in any direction....

Funny... because once it gets waaaay up in the air... far away from me... sometimes people driving by on the highway stop to look up at it... because... I guess... they don't know what the hell it is flying around so far up... because it doesn't look like a kite....

And because... no doubt.... what kind of nut would be out flying a kite on a freezing cold day in the middle of winter....????

<<What's a Labrador cost?>>

You are talking about the retrieving dogs? Depends on what you want one for. You can probably find a part Lab mutt for free. For just being a dog they're the best. But remember just because a pup is black doesn't mean any lab is in it.

A decent pure breed pup will go for $200 to $500. Stay away from chocolates and look for yellows or blacks. The chocolate colored ones have a problem with allergies.

I almost paid $7,500 for a Lab. Had the bid in and he won his FTC in field trialing the next week so I got nixed.

What's a Lab cost?

Search on labrador rescue and find exactly the dog you want almost free. There are lots of failed guide dogs, unsuccessful hunting dogs, and others that need good homes.
