I was telling a reporter recently about the record spam attack (this guy was short of the record by a couple hundred posts) and how despite all the spam, the stock being touted didn't move up a bit that morning. Spam attacks on other sites have resulted in big price movements, though.

Two reasons:

1. We're really not the "buy the latest sure thing at market" kind of folks here.

2. The previous spammer's nick was changed quickly to something indicating that spam was happening, while I wrote a program to deal with deleting the prodigious spam he'd left all over the place.

I'm sure many folks remember the record-holder. If memory serves, the count was 353 between the 3 accounts being used.
