Ted Ted Re <<.....a 4 to 1 usually kills a stock....an example is QCOM.>>

Or RMBS. I disagree though, QCOM is down to all evaluation and all the China stuff. NOK is doing OK after a 4 for 1.

If it was my choice I would not have any split. I like high EPS numbers. I am in the camp thinking stock splits mean zero one way or the other.

Ted,

The benefits of the average 2 to 1 split have been overrated.....a 4 to 1 usually kills a stock....an example is QCOM....at the beginning of the year was
at 200 post split, now 66.

Well, AMD will have the earnings to support the increased number of issued shares.

Pravin.
PS: I bought a couple thousand shares of QCOM on Friday at $63.5. I expect to sell them this week for $75.

4 to 1 usually kills a stock...

Not to worry: there aren't enough shares authorized to do a 4 for 1.
