Here's a piece from an article from TheStreet.com. Note the piece about Hutchison.

...On the carrier side, VoiceStream Wireless comes to mind because the operator is partly owned by Hong Kong investment group Hutchison Whampoa (HUWHY:Nasdaq ADR - news - boards). "Any company with a relationship with Hutchison Whampoa has a leg up on the competition in China. [Owner] Li Ka-shing and his family are so well entrenched over there," Chin says, "VoiceStream [would] do well." VoiceStream doesn't have any operations in China now, or future plans should China receive PNTR, says VoiceStream president Robert Stapleton.

Buying GBLX:

Robert,
>> I cannot believe our opportunity here with GBLX

Seems that now may be a good time to buy, assumng one
guesses we've "bottomed out". However,
the Greenspan model (published a couple months ago)
indicated stock prices are about 40% over-valued. Seems
that the Jan - April "NAZ correction" was about that, but
the DOW hasn't gone down that much. So I wonder, yet, if
now's a good time to buy or if we should wait for more
correction in 2000.
