Hello Mani,

Re: It seems we are celebrating, it seems all the good news is already out, it seems that everyone now expect AMD not to screw up any more...I hope I am wrong.

All we really have at this time is two things, (1) A belief that Dresden will begin shipping product in June (as Jerry has promised) and (2) A questionable rumor that production capabilities are good in terms of yield and binsplits.

#1 above is good news, the company is telling us they are still able to control and execute their plans. Can you imagine AMD announcing that Dresden would not be ready for production for another 3, 6, or 9 months? I consider Dresden to be the key to AMD's future and I consider the prospect of the June 5 event at Dresden to be VERY good news and worthy of celebration. Think of it like an 8th grade son graduating and ready for high school. In reality your son's "career" has barely begun, but the achievement so far is worthy of celebration and happiness.

#2 above is just rumor at this time, but I hope the real yields and binsplits are close what we are hearing (hope springs eternal in the investor's heart).

Can AMD still "screw up"? You bet!!! This will be true so long as AMD is a company. They will NEVER reach a point where this factor will cease to be a consideration. Look around, is there anyone insulated from this risk? The best one can hope for is for AMD to become stong enough so that "screw ups" aren't fatal.

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan
