Yes, and for this reason I think the 'hurry up and get it done' was best for all. Just do it and forget about it, in 10 years it won't matter, just like the Germans accepting the East's currency... was it a great [even good] decision?? No, but get it done and move on... IMO getting Euro in the hands of the population pronto is best... 'give it a shot' and see what happends! Again, all the 'also ran countries' are winners, the worst that can possibly happen is better than the fate of the Lira, Escudo, etc.
