Whether this get fixed willingly on their part likely depends on whether or not the shares are still in your account and where the current market price is. If you still have the stock and it's fallen from the IPO price, they may be reluctant to correct the problem because it represents a larger loss to them. If the stock is up or flat, there is no reason it's not fixed by now.

I'd call them again about getting this straightened out. Ask to speak directly to compliance. If they're not available, ask for a trade desk manager and tell him/her you'll be calling back in a day or two looking for a reply. Get a direct number. Try to get a commitment as to when it will be fixed. Remember, RSP and tax season recently ended and these guys likely have a lot problems fix - you have to make yours stand out by being a little more aggressive than the next guy. OSC or IDA is a last resort as they'll have you waiting for months too.

I used to work for a small discount broker and this seems like a relatively simple error to clean up. I think they've just let you slip through the cracks.

Good luck

Digital,

I sold my shares a long time ago after the the IPO.
IPO's in Canada tend to be weak for the first 6 months, until analysts start following them.

"I emailed them back cancelling my IPO order"

I think e*trade's email is automated .. so no humans see it .. I used the phone for ordering the IPO (long time ago) .. then sold it .. within a few days ... with thin volume in trading on stock exchanges lately; I have not bought brokerage stocks lately.

E*trade Canada is small .. likely will be taken over, sometime .. with IPO's best to use the phone; IMO.

Try calling again, and getting the President .. Colleen Moorehead.
