Khan,

Flashpoint doesn't need to crack Sony for this to be value add for Wind River. My point is for those companies trying to enter this market or gain market share (Kodak, Minolta, Pentax for cameras, HP on the printer side) what software solution are they using to get there?

What I'm seeing is royalty payments for vxWorks every time this digital imaging solution goes out the door. Just because consumers love Sony because of its ease of use doesn't mean Wind River should sit on the sidelines and ignore the other 50% of the market.

It just makes sense for Wind River. They can't play with Sony because Sony uses their own proprietary OS. So you throw some cash at a company enabling the herd of competitors.
