Steven, I would add that X not only didn't wreck the party, she made it much more interesting. The ones who wrecked the party were those who attacked the person, whose ideas they didn't agree with, rather than challenge them with rational debate. Del

Steven -- if I may change the subject..... I have a feeling you have thoughts on the election in Peru. At this point, Mr Toledo looks more like a revolutionary than a candidate to me. No doubt he was at a disadvantage in the elections but, to me, nothing like the disadvantage faced by challengers in most of Central and South America -- like Mexico, for instance. So, why the posturing by the U.S., OAS, EU, etc.? This situation causes me to think of the "disapproval" of the recent formation of a government in Austria and NATO's action against Yugoslavia. I'm not sure these are "good things." I have no firm side in this yet -- just interested in any view you might have. If discussion is raging on some other thread, please advise. About time for the tropical storm season in your part of the world. Do they name them now or still just number them? Mike
