jman - What about all the B.S. the bulls have been espousing on this thread?

With respect the bulls have for the most part only reacted to news and announcements from the Company, Chinese officials and Unicom executives.

In addition no-one so far as I have seen has said anything else other than the Q's technology is at least a year ahead of anything comparable and indeed there is nothing comparable.

I haven't seen whether W-CDMA actually exists as a marketable working system avaailble today or indeed that it has been commerically demonstrated in the field as of today.

We have reacted to analysts reports all but one of which have been more than favorable. And we have reacted to the growth of the CDMA user base.

jman those are the facts and they do not deserve your adjectives.

Best regards,

L

jman,

Nothing wrong with negative posting, assuming they have a remote connection with reality. Nothing wrong with postings questioning QCOM, it's done all the time on this thread. If someone was to question the validity of QCOM's ability to maintain 90% market share of 3G ASIC sales, I'd view that as a likely situation. If someone wants to question why QCOM is having difficulty getting into China, I'm sure that could be discussed logically. However, to suggest that we seriously study CDMA2000 withering on the vine is goofy, if you are aware of the upgrade economics for current IS-95 operators. DDI just proved this point, and I don't see Sprint testing WCDMA these days either...

What specific BS were you referring to that the bulls have been espousing here? I imagine a statement that "QCOM will rule the universe" would rank up there with the "wither on the vine" slant, but I haven't seen much of that here lately.
