Didn't find any new muscles, but the old ones are pretty sore today. I blocked off the day at the office thinking I'd be toast today and I am. My legs gave out on the final 18 on Sunday. Even with riding a cart, the little walking you did was pretty tough due to the extreme elevation changes on the Birmingham courses. Plus, Mr. Jones loves to build waste and collection areas for missed greens which have drops of as much as 70 ft. in some cases. I hit one false front on Saturday that was as painful to watch as Payne Stewart's putt on 18 at the US Open at Olympic. You knew what was happening even though the ball was only trickling down, but what originally looked like a 12 ft. putt for birdie turned into a 40 yard wedge back up to the green. Wonderful designs and courses! Easily the biggest greens I've ever seen. Several were 50+ yards deep. I think I had 4 straight putts all week.
