The CEO of AirFiber is an old QUALCOMM hand. Probably learned his PR under Dr. J., i.e., don't say anything to the public unless it is really important. Nortel has a lot of money invested in AirFiber; QUALCOMM is a smaller investor. However, QUALCOMM has it's own last mile-ish solution: HDR which has a 2mbs speed for data only. I'm keeping my eye on AF as an interested amateur.
