When we were in the 90's on Q, I would have never guessed that we'd see the 60's. When we got to the 40's on GMST, I could not imagine 35 or lower. Same for a bunch of others.
Still, I have kept my cash in the account, and at this point I am very reluctant to commit to anything, and in fact, when I finally do begin to buy again, my biggest problem will be deciding which of these beaten down beauties will be the most attractive opportunities. It's a dual problem...what is (or will be) an appropriate current value at which to buy, and how do we now establish (think about) forward values for the most optimum recovery. Thoughts, anyone?

In the latest portfolio survey we told which would be our most likely double candidate. Maybe we should have also suggested which would be our most likely half candidate.
(He mumbled, not laughing.)

CNBC, and probably others, is now talking about a 1/4 point raise in June. I think that unlikely...we've seen no slowing in consumer spending of any great note, the NAZ is still way ahead of where it was when AG first talked about "exhuberance", and most tech PE's are still very high...by twice at least IMO.

That said, one might think I'm in a mood to short, but even there, I'm being timid. Reason: No one seems to be shorting earnings...yet.

Lindybill,

Since you seem able to separate out the emotion from your decisions, I wonder if you have any thoughts about dumping Q for the time being...Russian army style? thanks, anna
