Mr Varges, Every individual has his own bias. Reporters are no exception, although they should be. I've also noted the Red Herring omissions, and just dismiss them as bad press.

The author's spin reflects his bias. Who knows? Maybe the PR folks were slow to get back to this guy, and he wanted to show them the power of the press.

It certainly pays to read between the lines and never take anything on face value. Particularly from the media.

Spammers, of course, are the lowest of low life, and should be completely ignored, if not obliterated.

Regards,

Jack

wargesmd, I used to subscribe to Red Herring until, about one year ago, they came out with their list of Top 100 tech companies and Nortel was not on the list. I have lost confidence in the magazine other than as a source to search for IPOs. I am not interested in the IPO market. Red Herring has nothing else to offer. Their coverage is very superficial.

>>Any comments from anyone?<<

I've noticed that also. Perhaps they were among the number of media outlets that participated in the "lovefest" for Ciena a number of years back when it first came out as an IPO (remember it was a hot if not the hottest IPO at that time) who then had it blow up in the their faces with the TLAB situation? Just a thought...
