This is war, INTCfan

Qualcomm has the "crown jewels." Everyone recognizes that its technology is the best. Royalties are serious for their technology. Who wants to pay them? NO ONE!

Qualcomm's engineering unit is awesome and it is constantly improving its patents. It's going to take a lot of work for Qualcomm to command a dominant presence in the international marketplace. I'm just surprised that the free enterprise system of the United States allows its adversaries to freely market here while working to ban Qualcomm technology elsewhere.

I can't help but believe Qualcomm's heavy inroads in the Orient won't have cultural currency in the long run in China. Korea is crucial in my equation.

Just wait until HDR. The techno-saavy public will salivate like dogs.

As long as Qualcomm can avoid oblivion or a hostile takeover because of this ludicrously low stock price, everything will get clearer later this summer: (1) Surprisingly good earnings in July, (2) HDR rollout.

Another weird angle: I think Ericcson is going to begin to deviate its path more seriously from the GSM/Nokia forces. They have dealt with Qualcomm on a heavy-duty basis and are fully aware of Qualcomm's patience, power, and engineering prowess. Just a thought.

Just porchin'
