Jim, another cause for today's rally was the overdue unraveling of positions that is usually associated with options expirations. In this case it came a week late. There's some new economic data coming down the pike that should change market sentiment shortly. I don't think this rally is substainable and will use it to close out some positions. The lack of volume to match the run-up indicates that short covering didn't come into play. Money flow wasn't as positive as the end of the day figures would lead one to believe.
