That hobby has come a long way in the last 5 years. I'd like to see one of the battles.

Double-plus cool! The most active group operates out of Annapolis and Baltimore. A major battle event occurs this weekend, in Forest Park, which is less than an hour's drive.

I showed it to Chris (who has the day off), hoping to get him interested, because he just recently got interested in model trains, and likes war games, but he acted polite. So I showed it to Ben when he came home, and he acted enthusiastic, and wants me to take him to see the action this weekend.

When I first looked at the Battleship site in '95 they had pictures of the ones that were sunk. Holes and all. Upon sinking they release a float that's hooked to the ship for retrieval.

As I remember at that time the guns were single shot and used a bigger projectile. They were working on the repeaters at the time which must make for a better game.
