>>We don't focus on companies like NetShepherd and AskJeeves since they are technology users, not technology innovators, and as such are not addressed by Gorilla Game metrics. << If you will tolerate my persistence for just a tad longer, I want to offer a quote in defense of Net Shepherd being an innovator rather than a user of technology."As part of the Smithsonian Institute's Permanent Research Collection, Net Shepherd Inc.'s Filtered Search Service is a national treasure and a major addition to our documentation on the role technology plays in shaping our world. Congratulations again on your achievements." Daniel S. Morrow, Executive Director, Smithsonian Here are a few more comments about their technology.netshepherd.com There are so many levels to what Net Shepherd is doing that I agree that it is easy to get it confused with other companies who are not true innovators. I feel this quote from the Smithsonian on what the company does qualifies them to be set them apart from others. Who knows, maybe what this company has already achieved and the recognition that they have received might help my case a bit. That said, I do apologize as I did not go back in to do a full comparison against the criteria included in the FAQ's. By the way, thank you for the link to Fred Manzo's Marvellous FAQ. I had read it awhile back and had promised myself that I would actually get back to reading (and more importantly learning) what is included in it. Now that I have taken up more of your time, I will now go back and study (no learn) the basics of the thread, and I appreciate your feedback. I assure you I will not haunt the thread and bug you about this selection until my Prince (or baby "G") grows up a bit more. Thanks again! By the way, this is a great thread folks. Crazy Canuck
