MSCI today is raising the weighting of its TAIEX stock from 50% to 65%. The adjustment could hopefully fuel the MSCI concept shares in this point of time and the weighting will be raised to 80% in November. The MSCI concept shares are TSMC (2330), UMC (2303), Asustek (2357), Hon Hai (2317), Winbond (2344) etc, and they are expected to lead the IC and DRAM shares to another rally and thus push the total market again.

BUY UMC (2303) for short-term investment. The management of UMC revealed that its monthly sales can 'almost reach' NT$8bn in May, up 8.5% mom and 254% yoy. While UMC is catching up with TSMC (2330) gradually in terms of monthly sales and technologies, we think UMC can outperform the market
