Merlin is usually the one extending open invitations (hopefully after last time he learned his lesson...).
Now, an invitation was extended to him, and he is outcurmudgeoning the curmudgeons.

I've been lurking lately, because what I see here is making me sick. You are all pathetic excuses for curmudgeons, and I am ashamed to be associated with any of you.

As to the market today, BFD. Another six or seven days like today and I'll be back where I started 6 weeks ago. What are the odds of that? Probably equal to the odds that someone will say anything worth reading over here.

who was it, again, who invited Merlin into the clubhouse?

I can't remember exactly how it happened but it was somewhere between the swimming pool, after several pi¤a coladas, and the 21 table the next morning....I seem to remember someone extolling the virtues of being really curmudgeonly and wondering aloud if Mike could ever make the grade....guess WE found out. I'd hate to blame our wonderful host Dan..unless, of course, we can't find anyone else.
