I sold BAANF yesterday at $3.50 on the way up. I did not want to be holding when the deal was announced. Aurum and Cap Logistics alone are worth more, but BAANF has a severe debt and cash flow problem. They will have to settle for less than market value just to make a deal.

Also, I remember Zenith in 1998 that ran from around $1 to $15 on rumors only to have the shares declared null and void on the buyout.

Btw, I am a former Baan implementation consultant.

08:00 ET Baan Company N.V. (BAANF) 4 3/16: Software developer agrees to be acquired by Invensys plc for 2.85 euros per share in cash or approximately 762 million euros. In dollar terms, the value of the deal is $2.65 per share.
