There seem's to be a lot of "spin" in the Rambus presentations that are readily attacked by other sources. It just depends on who is "tuning the fiddle!" Both sides of the issue have their own interest. I have choosen to go with the pro-Rambus spin and treat most of the anti-Rambus spin as just plain FUD. I can't help thinking that if most of this FUD were true then why would a company like DELL (of ALL companies selling PC's) want to use Rambus technology? If you are in doubt then flip a coin... I'm sure many have.
