they're worried about the dollar because they know that the current account deficit requires inflows of almost 1,5 billion dollars daily on the capital account. if the dollar begins to fall, these inflows will cease, and there will be a mass exodus from US financial assets. it's an untenable situation anyway...note how complacent everybody has become about the current account. i believe it will play a key role in the unwinding of the bubble.
