We have almost 2 million shares traded with a 3 point gain. Not bad for end of month.

richard,

Dell is getting preferential treatment from Intel. During a shortage that we are experiencing, this preferential treatment is the difference between Dell making their quarters and coming short.

To maintain this preferential treatment, Dell has to do Intel some favors, turn some tricks. The use of Rambus is one example.

Dell has another advantage. I think it has earned a reputation of something of a Sony of the computer makers. For example, when I have no clue about an electronic component, I buy Sony, because it has a reputation of making reliable premium products. Now when my audio or video-phile friends see what I bought, they tell me I am clueless and a sucker. They tell me that I should have bought brand X, model Y, which is so much better and a much better value for the money.

The same thing with Dell. If you go with Dell, especially with their RDRAM based machine, all the PC enthusiasts will tell you that you are clueless and that you are a sucker.

Joe
