Ours? Drum set, three houses down. Argh. Almost out of range, but the dad allows the young punk to arhythmically flail at the things with the <very bad word> garage door open. Then there are those parents who ENCOURAGE stuff with PVC pipes and fluorescent paint... heehee

Yesterday we bought some 6x6 lumber to make a tomato bed and a strawberry bed. We needed to have it cut into shorter lengths so it would fit into Rover, and found a lumber yard not too far from here that had a saw big enough to cut it. Parenthetically, what happened to all the big lumber yards that could cut stuff like that? Where are they anymore? While we were waiting for the wood to be cut, Chris and I went for a walk along a nearby railroad track. There was a main track, still in use, and a spur or siding to the lumber yard that was closed off with a series of the track shifting gadgets that were locked with rusty padlocks, long disused, overgrown, rusty and in ill repair. Remembering what you said about spikes, I looked for one along the old track, and found one, which was very rusty, but sure enough, it was bent. Walked along a bit further, saw one that looked loose, and drew it out easily just pulling with my fingertips, and what do you know, it was bent, too? I wound up collecting five, all of them bent into a curve, except the fifth one, which was actually bent in about a 20 degree angle.
