The point is that people who don't have the same faith are going to be repelled by much of what is in the Bible.

Moreover, faith is a gift. Not everyone believes in such a God and such a God is not at all obvious to everyone. That's why I found some of the argument about the existence of God to be weird and stayed out of it.
