Kenneth, Good post. Thanks.

Control of bandwidth is all part of the intelligent optical network. Real time provisioning is now a reality as compared to the months of reconfiguring legacy SONET equipment. This capability will offer undreamed of efficientcies in the telecom network, including bandwidth on demand. Overbuilding, to meet peak demand, will become a thing of the past. Ciena is there.

A merger between SCMR and Tenor could cause some excitement-
****** From an article titled SCMR goes shopping ****
The Tenor rumor is bolstered by the fact that the two companies lead the ODSI forum. And they have very complementary strategies and technologies,? says Scott Clavenna, principal analyst at Pioneer Consulting LLC, pioneerconsulting.com. Dan Smith, president of Sycamore, also sits on Tenor?s board.
