Sync Man, Nobody remembers Gore's father except grey hairs like me. He was one of the few good politicos in the south at that time. However, he wasn't that well known or much of a leader nationally. Gore will win in the end if Bush continues to be perceived as a lightweight and the economy stays good. Some folks who now say they are supporting Bush will switch back if Bush can't change. And I for one think he can't. He IS a lightweight. Regretably, there is not much substance there. The family would have done better with Jeb. And say what you want about Bore, I mean Gore, he is smart and has the skills and experience needed to do the job. And yes he will govern to the middle.
