MU is trading at an earnings multiple of 87. Surely there is some future growth factored into that price.

What is funny about Dan Niles is saying is that when the future growth kicks in, the price will go up to maintain that multiple.

The way I see it is that the growth is priced in and if Dan's predictions happen then there will be little further increase in MU stock price. FWIW, I think Niles is wrong about MU's prospects anyway. MU isn't gonna grow profits at anywhere near 87% annually.

jhg, you sound like a micron newbie. niles is good at predicting earnings when he's told what they are ;-)

niles has been awful wrong on micron - though he has improved recently. i won't argue stock price as the inmates are running the asylum. what are his eps estimates for 2000? 2001? let's take issue with his "analysis."

btw, dan niles doesn't even read all the 10ks of stocks he follows - as exposed on this thread.

mu facts:

1. no net free cash flow in 15 years.
2. commodity business w/ slowing growth rates.
3. touty management that cuts dividends w/o an announcement and proclaims microstamp to fulfill a billion dollar need what is microstamp? my point is made! ;-).
