Actually, the more immediate persons, on the occasion of the DAR brouhaha, did not include JLA, I cannot remember where he was. Later, I did ask him to hold off on a couple of occasions, but he never promised me, he took it under advisement, so I may have over- inferred. In any case, I did not control anyone except in the limited sense of asking that there not be trouble that I might be blamed for, as it turned out I was when there was finally confrontation..........
