i agree with you, this slower growth plus higher inflation combination is deadly for the market. it seems however oblivious to this possibility so far. all i keep hearing is a consensus that A) the Fed is almost finished hiking, because B) the economy is slowing down, and C) that there will be a 'soft landing' and D) that the bottom (for stocks) is definitely in.

oh yes, and we should buy Cisco and SUNW etc...they may be a bit 'pricey' still, but we should buy them anyway...

i thoroughly distrust this new-found consensus...it is most likely wrong. imo these guys are just guessing and hoping they'll get lucky so they can dump their losing positions in overpriced junk in a suckers rally...
